Reblogged from Lisa Henry:

So beautiful!

Best book rant EVER!

ahahahahhahahahhaha

I agree with him completely :DDDD

The Way Home

The Way Home - Cindy Gerard I have to admit, I love Cindy Gerard books because of the suspense part. It's always amazing and intense to read, definitely my favorite part of the book :)Here...I read it for the romance

Rock Chick Rescue

Rock Chick Rescue - Kristen Ashley “Chiquita, women spend a lot of time sittin’ around bitchin’ that there are no good men out there. I hate to tell you this, but there aren’t a lot of good women either. The difference is, when a man sees one, he knows it. Then, he goes after her and wears her down until she’s his. Then, if he’s any man at all, he won’t let her go.”I actually forgot how awesome this book was

OMG I can't describe how much I enjoyed this “Aye, lass. You’re safe.” He held her close, stroked her hair, his voice a soothing rumble in his chest. “I’ll no’ let any man harm you—no’ while there is still breath in my body.”

SOMETHING ABOUT THE BOOK

The historical setting

Imagine Braveheart and The Last of the Mohicans blended into one movie XD It's set in the 18th century in America, and we get a blend of British, Scottish and Native American people here :D I love this because it's just different than the usual regency historical, or medieval, probably because I haven't read many that are set in America or at this time period. Though I have to admit, I wish she wasn't so detailed about the gruesomeness of war in that time :SS (what the soldiers were forced to eat *pukes*)

The story

Iain is forced to join the British army after being falsely accused of murder, and his brothers join him on the front. He is the leader of the MacKinnon Rangers, a fierce group of Scotsmen which is crucial to winning the war. Annie was also falsely accused of theft by her uncle, branded as a thief and sent to America to work as a slave. After Iain risks everything to save her from an Abenaki attack, they set on a dangerous path back to the fort, alone and through enemy territory.

I loved those two!

I think I laughed every time Annie said. "Mercy!" ahahahhahaahahha I don't know why that was so funny to me but I couldn't help it :D But honestly, I just don't care that much about Annie, I love Iain!!!

So just imagine...

Half Highlander...

Half Mohican...

All wild and fierce warrior...

Almost - Anne Eliot "Number one: Make at least two friends your own age.Number two: Go places besides your room.Number three: Get boyfriend.Number four: Make sure Mom and Dad notice numbers one through three."How to show the world you've healed? Why, fake it, of course. The storyThree years ago, Jess was almost raped. She has no memory of what happened but she does have nightmares and well, very serious problems that she couldn't resolve even with a therapist. All she wants is a chance to have a normal life, to go to college and be a normal girl, but how to convince her parents that she is getting better?Fake it all!So Jess makes a plan by persuading Gray Porter to pretend he's her boyfriend XDThough there's one thing that she didn't expect...Both of them went from pretending to real
Safe (Conquering Love, #1) - Ryan Michele Landon

Rock Chick Redemption

Rock Chick Redemption - Kristen Ashley “Belonging to me doesn’t mean I’ll make you do anything, it just means I consider you mine for as long as this lasts. It means I protect you, it means I take care of you. For another man, it might mean something different. Don’t confuse me with another man.” Hank

Deadly Lies

Deadly Lies - Cynthia Eden “How much is he worth?” The voice taunted. “How much will you pay?”Wow.W. O. W.This author sure knows how to write suspense!Another winner from the Deadly series, simply a superb book :)The storyThe case is about some crazy as f*ck kidnappers who are getting more brutal with each victim, so the SSD and Samantha are the ones investigating it. She is still trying to prove that she is able to work in the devision, although Hyde doesn't agree. When the man she is casually having sex with receives a call from the kidnappers, telling him his brother will die unless he pays, Samantha realises this is the best chance they'll have at capturing the serials. But that means she can't tell Max who she really is.This was uber-intense, just like every book from this series, and really unpredictable all the way, though I did suspect who might be the main culprit and I was shocked to be right ahahhahahahah but I still couldn't predict what would happen at any point i the story, that might just be my stupidity or the author's brilliance :DThe romance“I tried to sleep, but every time I closed my eyes, I saw you.”Oh, damn. Sam admitted, “I didn’t even try.” Because he’d been all she could think about.“Fuck.” He pulled her even closer. His clothes were wet, but she didn’t care. “I need you,” he growled. When they kissed this time, she was desperate for him.Samantha is both fragile and strong, while Max is just... Perfect.I love those two together but honestly, I just loved Max like crazy

Subject to Change: 2 (Picturing Perfect)

Subject to Change: 2 (Picturing Perfect) - Alessandra Thomas This was:- nice- pretty short- it has a bad boy college dude who drives a motorcycle - it has a romance that starts with hate and turns to love- deals with issues like choosing your major in college- would recommend it to people finishing high school or starting collegeSorry for not writing a longer review but honestly I've read it two nights ago and I've already forgotten most of what happened cause I was skimming an already short book.Oh well :)

The Goodreads Killer

The Goodreads Killer - Dave Franklin OMG bwahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahMust!Read! This!Book!!!!!
Fighting Fate - Linda Kage What would you do if you fell in love with the person who caused your brother's death? What would you do if you felt guilty for having feelings for a person whose life you practically ruined? This was such a beautiful story.I have to admit, I'm not a fan of angst, and this book had plenty of it, but honestly, I didn't mind it one bit because I loved the romance between the main couple. It was sad but still sweet, and I just loved it :)The storyOn her first day in college, Paige has the misfortune to be in the same class as the guy who killed her brother, Logan Xander. While she feels nothing but hate for him, Logan feels nothing but remorse for the accident that happened three years ago and changed all their lives. After a while, Paige realises Logan is not the way she imagined, and eventually they both form a kinship of sorts, for they are both suffering about the same thing. That kinship turns to love and leaves the question, could they both overcome their pasts and the biggest thing standing between them, her dead brother? The romanceThis is a forbidden love story, so you can expect angst and sadness throughout the book.It starts with hate, Paige resents Logan for everything, but after actually getting to know him, she realises he is tortured by what happened just as she is, only he never got forgiveness, not even from himself. After a while they become friends (sort of), and like I said, they fall in love, but both know that nothing can ever exist between them.I love this because it wasn't insta-love, actually the exact opposite :)There were lots of emotional scenes here, most of them sad, but still amazing and I just loved them
Price of a Kiss - Linda Kage “Every woman treats me that way, Reese. I’m not a person to them. I’m just…a good time or something vile to be avoided at all costs. And then you came along and you… you hugged me.”I think this gif describes this book perfectly:It's a swoon and squee book, for me at least :) I've had a huge smile for the first 70% of the book, it was just that amazing :)And since I read YA/NA exactly for the swoon/squee thing, this one was perfect for me :)The storyI'm gonna keep it short so I don't spoil much :)This is the story about a guy who is ostracized from society because of rumors about him being a gigolo, and a girl who wants to be his friend no matter what he does.A tortured hero and an awesome brave heroine, what more do you need :)The romanceVery slow build, but with some uber-beautiful scenes

Rock Chick Revenge (Rock Chick, #5)

Rock Chick Revenge - Kristen Ashley “Get this into your head Ava, I’m not gonna do anything to fuck it up between us but I’m also not gonna let YOU do anything to fuck it up either.”LukeBtw, that quote is basically the definition of this book :DAva constantly tries to get out of it, while Luke does everything he can to stop her :DAnyway, she is great and funny, loved her "Bad Ava" and "Good Ava"Luke is the bestest of them for me
Storm - Brigid Kemmerer DNFI was really really curious about this one.Started it.Nice writing, nothing special but not bad.The family at the center of the series, uber-interestng.The heroine, uber-idiotic, blushes at every single damn thing possible and in every single damn situation possible. She behaves like a 13 yo at best, and one who has never been in contact with a male specimen of the human species.Triangle. I hate them. HATE! Especially seeing stupid indecisive heroines who spend the whole book deciding who to drool over. No thank you.I gave up on this cause a lot of things irritated me, but oh well if I had known this book would have them I wouldn't have tried it in the first place. I'll probably (maaaaaybe) read the rest of the series once I completely delete this out of my mind.

Elemental (Elemental, #0.5)

Elemental (Elemental, #0.5) - Brigid Kemmerer This was a nice shortie intro into the series, and it did the trick, it made me want to read more :))
